An open letter from
Chris Malone for NC House
Welcome to my website. My name is Chris Malone and I am running for the new District 35 seat in the North Carolina House. I currently serve as a Republican member of the Wake County School Board. I have lived in Wake County for over 20 years, and have served on both the local and county levels of government.
Many of you know me as a solid conservative with a record of keeping my promises. I served from 2001 until 2005 on the Wake Forest Town Board of Commissioners where I fought to cut taxes and job killing regulation, and I led the charge to change the town charter to disallow Kelo v New London, Connecticut commercial seizure of personal property by government. Through my leadership we also created the Hope Program to help people in need keep the electricity on while they get back on their feet.
In 2009, I won a Wake County School Board seat and kept my promise of ensuring that our vision of neighborhood schools became a reality, offering greater stability and quality education for our students and their families. We put achievement first, protected the classroom and brought needed resources to eastern Wake County that had been lacking for decades.
On the state level we need to continue reining in out-of-control spending. For decades, elected officials had free rein to increase taxes, regulations and create unfunded mandates which have interfered with our ability to maintain a vibrant economy, manage our businesses, properly educate our children and bring jobs to North Carolina.
I want to lower both personal and corporate tax rates and bring more good jobs to Wake County. We must revitalize the economy and protect our North Carolina values. Opportunity through education is one of these values. We need to increase educational spending at the classroom level in order to spur economic growth in our Great State.
I am your friend, neighbor and fellow Wake County resident. We all want servant leadership from our elected leaders and I believe that is what is needed in these times. I have a young family and I want the best for our community, our children and our future. Please support me as I dedicate my service to ensuring once again I keep the promises I have articulated.
Please look over my website and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I will be walking the district as much as possible. If you would like to host an event or want me to visit please let me know.
